Adaptive Traverse Climbing Wall Package - 8 Foot High
The Adaptive Climbing Wall, with its companion activity guide, helps instructors effectively include youth with special needs in their climbing program. The smooth, dry-erase and magnet-accepting surface can be written on and accepts magnets to provide learning opportunities for children with cognitive or communicative disabilities. The Adaptive Holds include grab-bar style hand holds and ledge-style footholds to provide stability and extra support for children with physical disabilities. The color-coded Groperz Hand Holds offer a variety of additional options for climbers to use as they travel across the Traverse Wall. Each color is a different challenge level. Climbers can choose to use any color hand hold, or try the extra challenge of climbing using only hand holds of the same color. The signature Red-Relief Line is a safety feature that reminds climbers to stay within a distance of three feet from the floor and is a helpful tool for the climbing wall supervisor. Safety mats, and a way to 'close' your climbing wall to prevent unauthorized use, are recommended. The patented Mat-Locking System closes and locks your climbing wall when you want to restrict access. Each wall section includes sentence building, word and math magnets, Adaptive Climbing Holds, Groperz Hand Holds, 66 preset placement options for mounting hand holds, the Red-Relief Line, Adaptive Climbing Activity Guide and dry-erase markers.
