This 6' expanded metal buddy bench helps takes the loneliness out of playgrounds for children who have no one to play with. The seats and back on our buddy benches are made with durable 9 gage expanded metal, with the legs and frame from 2 3/8" steel tubing. The seats and backs are available in Advantage or Industry Standard coating colors and the frame is made from a 2 3/8" steel tubing which is powder coated in a high gloss finish in black. Colors may vary between different coatings. These benches are made in the USA with American steel and are of exceptional quality. Note: bench will be made with design and graphics shown unless otherwise specified.
Coating Choice
Industry Standard Coating is a premium polyethylene coating that has been proven to withstand the elements which is used by most site furnishing manufacturers. This coating does not react chemically during drying, rather the coating is "fused" to the metal using heat. The cooling process causes the coating to harden and gain strength. Industry Standard Coating are more expensive that Powder Coating. The Industry Standard Coating has a 5 year manufacturers warranty, and is available in 12 different colors.
The Advantage Coating costs more because it is a proprietary PVC coating that outperforms any other coating on the market today. We like this coating because it will not chip, crack or peel nor does it have any runs or drips and is graffiti resistant. The surface is non-porous which means it is impervious to stains, fungus, mold and mildew which runs commonly found on other plastisol products. The Advantage coating has a 7 year manufacturer's warranty. Without a doubt, this is the most durable coating out today and well worth the upcharge. The Advantage coating is available in 13 different colors.
