- It is recommended that you order 5%-10% overage on rubber and glue. This will allow for unlevel site conditions, possible wavy subgrade variances, workmanship, and priming of subgrade.
- A “Base” Primer may be desirable using a mixture of 50% Binder/50% Acetone. On edges and around posts where extra adhesion may be necessary, a more aggressive “Edge” Primer ratio of 80% Binder/20% Acetone can be used.
- PIP cannot be installed on dirt and requires a sub-base of concrete, asphalt, or properly compacted stone/gravel. As PIP is porous, proper drainage is essential.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to determine the required fall height of any/all existing or future playground equipment.
- The Mixing and Installation of PIP Surfacing should be performed by a professional or an experienced technician.
- PIP should be installed at proper depths to meet current ASTM/HIC (Head Injury Criteria) standards. Customer is responsible for determining fall heights of playground equipment and all project fall height requirements.
